September is Rotary's Basic Education & Literacy Month.
Through our LiteracyPlus committee, PAUR works year-round to close this gap for Pre-K through middle school students locally: donating curated books through schools, clinics, and our weekly guest speaker book-signing tradition; assembling personalized reading cubbies for Pre-K and Kindergarten students at St. Elizabeth Seton School; and pairing volunteers with students for weekly Reading and Math Pals tutoring in Palo Alto and East Palo Alto. Give a book, be a pal, change the world, and reach out if you'd like to get involved.
