Gunn High Service Day, Volunteers needed!
This year’s Gunn High School Service Day is scheduled for Thursday March 10.
Each year, these high school service days are an enjoyable way for Rotary Club members and family to participate in community service learning activities with high school students, many of whom are Interact Club members. The student leaders who plan the events depend on adult chaperones as their back-up to make it all possible. The adult chaperones are not needed as drivers. We are not expected to lead the events – that is taken care of by the trained student leaders and the non-profit staff at the various locations – such groups as Canopy, Environmental Volunteers, school staff and park rangers.
For the March 10 event at Gunn, YCS-Interact students and staff are managing the off-campus service activities at 14 locations (9:00AM Kick-off at Gunn Auditorium). Full day off-campus chaperone runs until 3:00pm. The list of activities can be accessed with this link. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0e44aea629a0f58-gunn.
The list includes both indoor and outdoor activities, including two Canopy projects.
